| Hello All Some have asked and some have even forgatten about my project.
I have been delayed mostly by my machine shop some of it which I told them it was ok to do so.
I had gone back and forth on whether or not to extrude hone my intake manifold and turbine housings but after much debate I decided to go ahead and get it done. The main reason for doing it was not because of the increased flow but because the balance of flow that has been reported. Specifically the #6 cylinder normally gets more air and basically there is a big imbalance in air flow to the cylinders through the stock manifold. According to some that I have talked to, after extrude honing the intake manifold there is a better balance and #6 cylinder is no longer the highest flowing but rather third highest one. I also am having my throttle bodies redone to 55mm. I also ordered some of those solid motor mounts. I am hoping to have my motor back in the 2nd week of feb along with the intake manifold and etc. The only thing thats left unseen is my engine mangement. I had my ECU reprogrammed for 850cc injectors and have been thinking E-Manage would probably do ok. I really want AEM however they aren't being very forth coming about that project. For while I lost concentration on the build up as I got wrapped on a few other things.. This link has some reported numbers from extrude honing.
